Cookie policy

In short

This website uses no profiling, analytics or advertising cookies. It only uses two Cloudflare security tools, described below, for which the law does not require consent: that is why you see no banner.

What cookies are

They are small files a website saves in your browser to remember information from one visit to the next. The same goes for similar technologies such as the browser’s local storage: this website does not use those either.

The only exceptions: security

The website runs through Cloudflare, which protects it from automated traffic and attacks. If a visit looks suspicious, Cloudflare may ask for a quick check and save a technical cookie (cf_clearance) so it does not have to repeat it: it normally lasts 30 minutes and is not used to recognise or profile you.

The request form is protected by Turnstile, Cloudflare’s anti-bot check. Your browser loads it from challenges.cloudflare.com only when you start filling in the form: usually it asks nothing, occasionally it asks you to tick a box. It sets no cookies on our website and is not used to profile you: it reads some technical features of your browser and device to tell whether a person is writing.

These are technical tools needed to run the website and the form securely, and the law does not require consent for them (Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code; guidelines of the Italian data protection authority of 10 June 2021).

Fonts, map and photos

Fonts, map and photos are hosted on our own server: browsing the website does not contact third-party services, so none of them can set cookies. The only external resource is the form’s anti-bot check, described above.

Links to other websites

Links to WhatsApp, Google Maps, Booking.com, Wikimedia Commons and the other websites we mention open external pages, with their own cookie rules.

Managing cookies

You can view and delete cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). Blocking them changes nothing on this website.
