How to get a free ticket

Even when entry is free you need a ticket, for everyone aged 2 and over, with a time slot that also applies if you are only visiting the park.

  • Online, on TicketOne, from 11:00 on the Monday before.
  • At Piazza Carlo di Borbone you can collect ‘Park and Apartments’ and ‘Park only’ tickets.
  • At Corso Giannone you can only collect the ‘Park only’ ticket, which does not include the English Garden.

You cannot leave and come back in on the same ticket.

A set route

On free days the order of the visit is fixed. From 8:30 to 12:00 you see the Royal Apartments first and then the park; from 12:00 onwards, the park first and then the apartments.

What stays closed

The English Garden, the Grand Gallery, the Court Theatre and the Vanvitelli and Amelio Rooms. The rest of the palace keeps its normal hours: see tickets and opening hours.

Free or paid?

The free days are the busiest of the year. If you want to see the English Garden, or to take your time, you can choose an ordinary day instead: under-18s always go in free, and for EU citizens aged 18 to 24 a ticket costs €2.

From Royal Palace B&B

The Corso Giannone entrance is a short walk from the B&B, but on free days it only issues park tickets. To see the apartments as well, go to Piazza Carlo di Borbone, 1.4 km away, with no need to move the car from our private car park.
